Architecture Licensure Examination Philippines: References & What-nots

Hello ladies & gents! Today I will once again be talking about architecture.  But this blog's particular topic revolves around an architectural milestone that architecture students keep at the back of their heads pretending its still doesn't concern them because at the moment they are dealing with things of greater weight - plates and thesis.  An architectural milestone that gives the chills and jitters to the architecture graduates because this a point in time filled with career defining decision making moments.  Also, this milestone to when now registered and licensed architects look back to breathes out a sigh of relief knowing that it is finally over. Yes, the ALE or the Architecture Licensure Examination. The ALE is like a barrier, a wall that you must climb over and you must land on the other side with both feet. Thank goodness, I am now other side of the wall unscathed, or so I'd like to believe. It is my obligation as an architect to men

Lihok Kabataan! A Playground Build Project!

Why Play? In today’s fast paced world, where moving forward is the prime goal of every individual, it may leave others wondering why should playing be considered as a priority. To most adults, playtime is a rowdy activity that is simply a waste of time for children. It is seen as an unessential time consuming act that has no sense of organization whatsoever. Therefore in many communities, play spaces is hardly given an ounce of attention and is seen as an unnecessary luxury especially for this digital age. Majority of adults fail to understand that the act of playing is an important aspect in a child’s mental, expressive and most importantly physical development. Amidst the unruly seemingly catastrophic humdrum of kids playing in a playground are several of learning venues where children can learn various conflict management, problem solving, and independent thinking skills. These are things which cannot be taught in the comforts of household or academic walls. In conclusion, pl

Strabucks Philippines 2015 Planner Unboxing

Is it really worth the 18,000 calories? I was able to get my StarbucksPH 2015 Planner early this year. So we decided to do an unboxing for those who are still collecting  stickers or are still planning to start collecting. We also compared it with my 2014 Starbucks Planner just to see the difference in design approach. Again, is it really worth it? Watch the video below to find out. The verdict. Yes. I like the homey feel of this year's planner. The planner covers the basics: (1) The 2015 page calendar, (2) The spaces for daily planning, (3) Note taking pages, (4) Back Pocket Sleeve, (5) Ribbon Bookmark The things I like most about this planner versus the previous year's are the following: (1) OMG it comes with a chalk pen and a highlighter that smells of COFFEE (I wish I was kidding but I'm not), (2) The planner is now ruled (A big YAY!), (3) It comes with a cute little name tab/bookmark.  I love the over-all look of t

My Boyfriend Does My Makeup

An old YouTube trend we [well, I] decided to try out with my boyfriend to celebrate our month's-worth-o-milestone. I don't exactly know what the rules are, I just watched a couple of videos on this YouTube tag a year back. But the rules of this video we did were very simple. I just lay down all my make up and told him to do a makeup tutorial. I just gave him subtle hints as how to conduct the tutorial but not really as to what a particular makeup was for. (1) Show the viewers what you are using. Describe the brand, the color and what its for. (2) Show them how to apply it. He did a very good job except for the fact that he... well just watch the video until the very end to find out.

Karina Loraine Salang Dela Cruz

I've been thinking of starting a "I am proud of" series on this  blog about the people I know and love. Plus, I think if ever someone would Google their name, it would be nice to find a blog  bout them saying only good things and how lovely of a person they are. So I thought, it would be nice to share to the world the gift of persons in my life. But basically its just because I think that everyone deserves to be recognized for the good things that they are. Success, whether great or menial relative in society's eyes, is still success - it should be celebrated all the same. So, for my first entry I would like to talk about my wonderful beshie Mrs. Karina Loraine Salang Dela Cruz. This is also timely, since today is her birthday! Why am I proud of Karina? I am proud of her not only because she's my best friend but  more importantly because I admire her. Karina and I have been friends for the longest time. We've be

A Fairy Tale Ending for My Hair-Scapades

Generation X, the generation which faced great transitions. Yes, I am a 1990's kid. I am a part of the generation that was still able play outside and get myself dirty. A part of the generation that first explored tech-y devices and game consoles. Transitions and changes were and still are inevitable. So, what do I really want to talk about? Nope. I am not going to rant about how the kids of today's generation should also play outside and all that. I'm simply going to talk about my hair. LOL. Yes, how I found my way back home - embracing my natural waves. SPOILER ALERT: YOU ARE ABOUT TO VIEW A SERIES OF VAIN PHOTOS. BACK OUT NOW IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE IT. :)) Like everyone else, I started off bald. LOL. My hair has been through practically anything and everything you can think off. My hair was naturally straight. It was long and shiny - shampoo commercial caliber. Like any little child's hair up until hormones kick in and ruin
